Work description

This artwork originates from an unconventional "negative": a sheet of glass that I personally shaped with a hammer. Each blow created cracks, marks and fractures that gradually formed the image itself. The work was then impressed onto paper through the action of sunlight. The sun's rays, their intensity and angle, made the image slowly emerge on the paper as the light passed through or was refracted by the shattered glass. In this process destruction becomes creation and light becomes the true author.
